AMPORTS Baltimore Receives Port of New York / New Jersey...

Amports Atlantic, Chesapeake, and Dundalk Facilities received diverted ships from the Port of New York and New Jersey as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
Amports President Steve Rand said: “We received almost 5,000 units combined from Toyota/Lexus, Volvo, and General Motors.

Our management took quick access to ready our facilities for the additional volumes and we are very proud of their accomplishments. What happened in New York / New Jersey could have easily happened to us, so we pitched in and made it happen. The additional flexibility of owning our facilities at Atlantic and Chesapeake really made a difference for us. We were also able to facilitate the diverted vehicles without interruption of our existing customers.”
