The facility on which AMPORTS operates in Freeport, Texas is in partnership with Horizon Terminal Services. The facility has two deep-water berths and offers a processing building and a body shop, parts and car wash building. Vehicles are received into this facility primarily for export to the Middle East but the facility is capable of handling exports to any part of the world. Vehicles are also imported by ship for domestic distribution throughout the United States. The facility is paved, fenced, lighted and secured. Freeport Terminal is located 60 miles south of Houston with convenient access to Interstate 45 and also is in close proximity to Mexico to facilitate short sea shipments of vehicles.
