Exclusive Processing Facility for an OEM Customer
In 2020 Amports partnered with an OEM customer at the Chesapeake Terminal in Baltimore MD, to deliver a custom solution that enhanced their processing operations. Recognizing the need for improved facilities, Amports provided an exclusive 100 x 300 sq. ft. fabric building, including upgraded storage racks and a streamlined vehicle flow designed in collaboration with the customer. By incorporating the customer's input, Amports ensured the facility aligned with their operational principles, promoting efficiency, cleanliness and organization. This project demonstrated our customer-centric approach, innovation and commitment to exceeding OEM expectations, resulting in a highly satisfied customer and a strengthened partnership.

Port Authority
As the Port Authority in Chesapeake, Amports is responsible for managing terminal operations to ensure the efficient and secure handling of automotive and other cargo. This includes facility management, cargo operations, regulatory compliance and maintaining high safety and security standards. As a member of the Quality Cargo Handling Action Team (QCHAT), Amports works closely with port stakeholders to uphold high standards, address challenges and enhance cargo handling operations. Coast Guard
Chesapeake operates under a dedicated facility security plan approved by the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Maryland – National Capital Region, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety and security standards. Random audits by the Coast Guard reinforce adherence to these protocols. During weather events, Amports collaborates closely with the the Maryland Port Administration (MPA) and the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port to implement contingency plans, prioritizing the safety of personnel, cargo and operations. This proactive approach underscores our commitment to maintaining resilient and secure facilities in partnership with maritime authorities.
Community
During Thanksgiving all three Baltimore terminals come together for a food drive benefiting local charities. Through ticket giveaways, gifts and other initiatives, we raise funds to support these organizations.
Additionally, during Christmas we distribute care packages to vessel line workers who will be on duty at the port, ensuring they feel appreciated during the holiday season.
