Our Partners
To realize our vision to be the world's premier automotive services and port terminal operator, we work closely with a variety of partners, including port authorities at each terminal, the Coast Guard and local communities.
Port Authority
At our Blount Island Terminal, Amports partners with JAXPORT, a premier full-service international trade seaport located in Northeast Florida. Situated at the crossroads of the nation’s rail and highway network, JAXPORT plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless import and export operations. The port boasts a rich maritime history, dating back to 1565 when Jacksonville became known as America’s First Port. This partnership enhances Amports’ ability to deliver operational excellence, managing the flow of vehicles and cargo with precision. Together, Amports and JAXPORT provide OEM customers with superior service and timely deliveries, making Jacksonville a critical hub in the global automotive supply chain.
Coast Guard
At our Blount Island Terminal, Amports partners with the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville, known as the "Guardians of the First Coast." Located along the St. Johns River, Sector Jacksonville provides unified command and oversight of maritime safety and security in the region. Their responsibilities include Search and Rescue, Waterways Management, Maritime Homeland Security and Aids to Navigation. Amports works closely with the Coast Guard to ensure compliance with safety standards and maritime regulations, safeguarding cargo, personnel and the environment. This collaboration underscores Amports’ commitment to operational excellence and the secure, efficient movement of goods through Jacksonville.
Community
We're committed to fostering strong ties with the local community. We collaborate with local universities, including the University of North Florida (UNF) and other institutions, to offer internships and career opportunities in areas such as operations, IT, finance, engineering and human resources. These partnerships not only provide Amports with access to a talented, emerging workforce, they also help students build successful careers at our dynamic and expanding company. Through these initiatives, we support the growth of both our community and our business.
