Our Partners
To realize our vision to be the world's premier automotive services and port terminal operator, we work closely with a variety of partners, including port authorities at each terminal, the Coast Guard and local communities.
Port Authority
Having started operations at Dundalk in the early 1970s, Amports has been the longest-term tenant at the terminal. Our partner here is the Maryland Port Administration (MPA), a unit of the Maryland Department of Transportation. The MPA operates the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore, located along the tidal basins of the Patapsco River, on the northwest shore of the Chesapeake Bay. The port is the nation’s largest facility for specialized cargo, including RoRo ships. Our long-standing partnership with MPA enables efficient operations and supports the strategic importance of Dundalk in the global supply chain.
Coast Guard
At our Dundalk Terminal, Amports partners with the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Maryland – National Capital Region to safeguard the Chesapeake Bay region. Their duties include Search and Rescue, Waterways Management and Maritime Homeland Security. This collaboration ensures compliance with safety standards and maritime regulations, protecting cargo, personnel and the environment while reinforcing Amports’ commitment to secure, efficient operations in Baltimore.
Community
During Thanksgiving, all three Baltimore terminals come together for a food drive benefiting local charities. Through ticket giveaways, gifts, and other initiatives, they raise funds to support these organizations. Additionally, during Christmas, they distribute care packages to vessel line workers who will be on duty at the port, ensuring that they feel appreciated during the holiday season.
