Mandi Scardina: Leading Through Experience at Amports Dundalk

From Operational Expertise to Strategic Leadership at One of Amports’ Key Facilities

When Mandi Scardina was promoted to Terminal Manager of Amports’ Dundalk Terminal in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2026, it marked the culmination of a 15-year journey built on hard work, continuous learning, and hands-on operational experience.

Mandi’s career at Amports began on the front lines as a Driver. Over the years, she advanced through a variety of roles, including Mitsubishi Installer, FIP Inspector, Quality Assurance, Assistant Supervisor, and Field Manager. Each position provided valuable insight into terminal operations and helped shape the leadership approach she brings to her role today.

A Maryland native, Mandi has built her career within the Port of Baltimore community. Her progression through the organization reflects both her dedication to operational excellence and Amports’ commitment to developing talent from within. Prior to her promotion, she served in key field leadership roles, gaining extensive experience managing people, processes, and customer operations.

In addition to her operational expertise, Mandi is committed to professional growth. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Sociology and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Value Chain, reinforcing her understanding of the logistics and supply chain industry.

Today, Mandi oversees operations at one of Amports’ key Baltimore facilities. The Dundalk operation supports multiple automotive and industrial customers and plays an important role within the Port of Baltimore, one of the nation’s leading gateways for vehicle handling and roll-on/roll-off cargo.

Beyond daily operations, Mandi has contributed to initiatives that support future growth at the terminal, including efforts related to Free Trade Zone expansion and operational improvements designed to enhance efficiency and customer service.

"Amports has given me opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges throughout my career. I'm proud to work alongside such a dedicated team and look forward to building on the strong foundation we've created together."
