Since joining Amports in February 2019, Batina Smith has been a transformative force in reshaping the company’s human resources function. With over 20 years of experience in sectors such as healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and professional services, Batina brings a wealth of knowledge to Amports. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a specialization in Human Resource Management from Capella University, complemented by multiple HR certifications. As Vice President of Human Resources, she oversees the HR function for more than 1,300 employees across 13 locations in the U.S. and Mexico, focusing on optimizing performance, enhancing profitability, and fostering employee engagement.
Batina’s commitment to HR innovation is reflected in her active membership in the SHRM-Executive Network (SHRM-EN) and her recent addition to the Chief People Group (CPG), a community of HR and People Leaders dedicated to advancing HR strategies and fostering meaningful connections. These affiliations underscore her dedication to continuous learning and her passion for building people-centric workplaces.
