Operational Updates: Inclement Weather in Jacksonville, FL, and Freeport, TX

For OEM Customers

Due to inclement weather, we are making adjustments to our operational schedules for our terminals in Jacksonville, FL, and Freeport, TX. Please review the details below.

Jacksonville, FL, Terminals

Forecasted freezing temperatures for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, have prompted us to delay the start time at our JAXPORT terminals – Blount Island and Dames Point – to 8:30 AM ET (instead of the usual 6:00 AM ET). This adjustment prioritizes the safety of our employees, ensuring they can commute safely.

  • Carrier and vessel operations remain open 24/7 for shipping and receiving cargo.

We encourage everyone traveling to JAXPORT to exercise caution on the roads, as black ice may form due to freezing conditions. Please also dress warmly to stay comfortable in the cold weather.

Freeport, TX, Terminal

Melting snow and ice this evening are expected to refreeze overnight, creating hazardous driving conditions tomorrow morning. The weather is anticipated to improve later in the day as temperatures rise. To prioritize safety, our Freeport terminal will open for business at 1:00 PM CT on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

  • Carrier and vessel operations remain open 24/7 for shipping and receiving OEM-only cargo.

Please note that on the High and Heavy (HH) side, crane lifts and any tasks deemed unsafe will not be performed until conditions are confirmed safe.
Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership. We remain dedicated to ensuring the safe handling of your cargo, even under challenging weather conditions.
