CODA Holdings, a California based leading developer of advanced Lithium-ion power battery systems for its all-electric CODA sedan, EV propulsion system and stationary energy storage applications announced that they will be partnering with AMPORTS to assemble CODA all-electric vehicles in Benicia, California beginning late this year.
“We are excited to be working with AMPORTS in Benicia for final assembly,” said Phil Murtaugh, CEO of CODA Holdings “They have a reputation in the industry for a high quality standard, have an excellent workforce, and we see Northern California as a key market for CODA, so their location was ideal from a distribution standpoint.”
Located just 30 miles north of San Francisco, the Benicia AMPORTS facility will install CODA’s Central Powertrain Unit among other components, robust vehicle safety and quality inspection, and prepare vehicles for distribution to customers, stores and dealers.
The CODA all-electric vehicle is a 4-door, 5-passenger sedan with a range of up to 150 miles per charge. Customers interested in testing driving a CODA can visit its first CODA Experience Center located in the Westfield Shopping Center in Century City. Additional stores and point of purchase are scheduled to open later this year.
